THE SUNSHINE SCHOOL

The Sunshine School has been created for tackling and understanding Autism. We started in 2006 with 6 children. As of February 2016 we have 72 Autistic children in our care. The kids are aged between 3 years right up to 19 years. The admission structure is A) Early Intervention between 3-8 years, B) Middle School aged between 8 - 14 years and C) Pre-Vocational and Vocational between 14 - 19 years.

The objective is to create fulfilling lives for children with autism and a wholesome environment of learning. We, at Pragati have been actively associated with the school since inception. The oath of Pragati has always been to stand firm to our ideals in both our work and outreach. In keeping with this promise, our school goes the extra mile to bring out the talent in these differently abled children; to allow them a future they can depend on.

Our year-round program helps them build their independence, self awareness and social consciousness. Along with developing knowledge, various practical projects give them the ability to make appropriate judgement and understand their environment more cognitively.

Children are, and have always been, the change to the world at large. Any wave of progress we make in helping autistic children sends ripples across people’s sensitivity towards autism and the efforts that help mend these children. At The Sunshine School, our children take precedence over everything and each step we take to better our endeavours is another step to giving these children the lives they deserve.
